Medical marijuana coming to schools?

On Nov. 13, the Taylor County School Board held a workshop to discuss creating a state-mandated policy outlining the procedures for administering medical marijuana to students.

In 2016, the Florida Legislature passed F.S. 381.986, which legalized the medical use of marijuana. The Florida Legislature then passed F.S. 1006.062 entitled “Administration of medication and provision of medical services by district school board personnel.”
