County employees to get gift cards in lieu of raises

In lieu of a raise or bonus this year, full-time Taylor County government employees will receive a $50 gift card, while part-time employees will receive a $25 gift card.

Since 2007, any year in which the county commission did not give a raise to employees, the board provided either a bonus or a gift card. The cards will be given to all county employees, including those employed by constitutional officers.
