Ruby Estelle Morgan

Ruby Estelle Morgan, 98, died Nov. 27, 2018, in Perry. Ruby was born Oct. 31, 1920, in Perry to William Joseph Cowart and Ada Gertrude Rowell Cowart.

Ruby was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Crosspoint Fellowship Baptist Church. Ruby worked with Western Auto as a clerk for 17 years.

Ruby was preceded in death by: her parents, William Joseph Cowart and Ada Gertrude Rowell; her husband, John Pharo Morgan Sr.; two sons, Charles Elam Hartsfield Sr. and John Pharo Morgan Jr.; her granddaughter, Charlene Archer; and a great-grandson, Derek Johnson.

Ruby is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Faircloth and Marlene Hartman; her stepson, Ronald (Peggy) Morgan; her stepdaughter, June Padgett; her daughter-in-law, Hazel Hartsfield; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren; as a well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at Crosspoint Baptist Fellowship Church with Pastor Mary Starling and Bro. Eddie Pridgeon officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Crosspoint Baptist Fellowship. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
