In an effort to reduce costs, the Taylor County Commission has agreed to move forward with the sale of the former Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH) building without getting an official survey of the property.
After voting to move ahead with a survey of the old hospital property twice before at previous meetings, the board reversed course at its most recent Nov. 19 meeting and voted unanimously to follow the recommendation of County Engineer Kenneth Dudley to instead use the underlying Peacock Highlands Subdivision lot block system to advertise for proposals.
