    GP invests $90 million to convert production lines

    Georgia-Pacific (GP) continues to make significant investments in the local Foley Cellulose Mill, recently announcing a commitment to spend approximately $90 million dollars to convert one of its main production lines from fluff to dissolving pulp, as part of a plan to improve the plant’s long-term future profitability and viability.

    During a recent talk with the Perry Rotary Club, GP Foley Vice President and General Manager Lee Davis updated local business and community leaders on several large capital improvement projects currently underway at the local mill.
