Road drainage upgrades

Motorists continue to see significant construction activity and occasional lane closures on Highway 19/27 as Capital Asphalt, Inc., works to complete a $4.1 million resurfacing and drainage improvement project along a 3.5- mile section of Byron Butler Boulevard in Perry.

In addition to resurfacing, the project includes installation of pipe in the median of the roadway to improve drainage issues. The project began in October and is tentatively set to be completed by spring of 2019.
