Locals give ‘wish list’ to state officials

In a reversal of roles, members of the Taylor County Commission and Taylor County School Board took to the podium to make requests of their elected state representatives during Monday’s Legislative Delegation meeting held in Perry.

State Senator Bill Montford and Rep. Halsey Beshears were in town to listen to requests from local officials and residents as they prepare for the 2019 legislative session, which is scheduled to begin March 5 and run through May 3.
