Downtown detour delayed!

Downtown businesses and motorists received an early Christmas present this week when it was announced that a downtown railroad crossing closure would be postponed.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the two rail projects scheduled to begin in the next two weeks in Perry have been delayed. Updates will be provided once a new start date has been chosen,” the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) stated in a Dec. 7 press release.
