Mother of 2 shot, killed

A few days ago, an excited Shawnie Easlick rushed to meet her best friend to show off the dinosaur she had just bought as a Christmas present for one of her two sons.

Her friend, Jessi Casella, said Easlick could not wait to see his face when he unwrapped the walking, talking toy.

“Her boys were her life,” Casella, said. “She was such a beautiful person. She never argued with anyone, never had a beef. That’s why it was such a complete shock when I heard the news. She just wasn’t the type to get involved in that.”

Easlick, a 25-year-old mother of two young boys, was shot and killed during an incident that happened outside a home at 216 Marjorie Drive (off Puckett Road) during the early morning hours (1:30 a.m.) of Sunday,Dec. 9.
