Incoming governor taps Beshears to be next DBPR Secretary

One half of Taylor County’s current state legislative delegation will soon change, as Governor-elect Ron DeSantis announced Tuesday that State Rep. Halsey Beshears (R-Monticello) will serve as the next secretary of Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).

Both members of Taylor County’s legislative delegation – Beshears and State Senator Bill Montford – were just in Taylor County on Dec. 3 to hear state funding and other requests from local residents and elected officials.
