Commissioners ‘insulted’ by ‘ungrateful’ county workers requesting bigger bonus

A trio of county employees seeking a larger holiday bonus were sternly rebuffed Monday night by Taylor County Commission Chairperson Pam Feagle, who called them “ungrateful,” and Commissioner Malcolm Page, who said he felt “insulted” by their request.

Last month, county commissioners voted unanimously to give each of the county’s 199 full-time employees a $50 gift card and each of the 62 part-time (seasonal and call-in) employees a $25 gift card.
