Murder suspect released

Suspect Kayla Pittman, 25, turned herself in at the Taylor County Jail late Tuesday evening to face second-degree murder charges for the Dec. 9 early-morning shooting death of Shawnie Easlick, also 25.

Pittman spent less than 18 hours in jail before posting a $100,000 bond and being released shortly after noon (12 p.m.) Wednesday.
