    Jingle all the way on Christmas lights tour

    The 2018 Christmas Lights Contest sponsored by the Taylor County Historical Society is underway.

    Maps showing the location of the 16 entries will be available at Perry Newspapers and on Facebook. The maps, produced with the assistance of Property Appraiser Bruce Ratliff, will also serve as voting ballots.

    Residences registered for the contest include: 202 East Veterans Drive, “Christmas Magic;” 1304 South Center Street, “Center Street Wonderland;” 3388 Lipscomb Circle, “Christmas Blow-Up Land;” 1089 East Ash Street, “First Time Christmas Display;” 110 South Hendry Avenue, “Jesus is the Reason;” 3485 Foley Cut-Off Road, “North Florida Pole;” 205 Judson Drive, “Santa Lands;” 500 Judson Drive, “Merry Christmas;” and 16760 West Royal Oak Drive, “third annual Sights & Sounds of Christmas”

    Businesses taking part in the contest include: Gulf Breeze Realty, 117 West Main Street, “Home for the Holidays;” Photos, Frames & Trophies, 102 East Main Street, “Harry Potter & a Reindeer Forest;” Debbie’s Jewels Gift Boutique, 134 South Jefferson Street, “A Very Merry MayPerry Christmas;” Red Bear Realty, LLC, 111 ½ East Green Street, “A Beary Perry Christmas;” Ina Padgett’s State Farm, 211 East Green Street, “USA/MayPerry;” North Florida ATC, 106 East Main Street, “Simplicity;” and Rebecca Vann Photography, 105 East Green Street, “White Christmas.”

    Prizes will be awarded in four categories: Best Religious Display; Most Unique Display; Most Lights; and People’s Choice.
