James William “Bill” Lee

James William “Bill” Lee, 84, died Dec. 11, 2018, at his home in Perry surrounded by his family and beloved Pastor. Bill was born Aug. 25,1934, in McAlpin to Donald E. Lee and Eula Harper Lee.

Bill was a devoted Christian and was very active in his church, where he served as a Sunday School director for many years. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Another favorite hobby was beekeeping. He was employed with Procter and Gamble for 37years.

Bill was preceded in death by: his parents, Donald E. and Eula Harper Lee;his brother, Donald Lee; his twin sister, Betty Churms; and sister, Wannie Hoffman.

He is survived by: his wife of 22 years, Marilyn P.Lee; his children,William Keith (Penny) Lee, Jeffrey James (Lisa) Lee, Vicki Bougan (Tim), Lisa Scott (Ty), Kim Beach Anderson; his grandchildren, Scott Lee (Ashley), Aaron Hunter Lee, Michael Dubose (Amy), Ashley Lewis,Zachary Scott (Sarah), Ryan and Tim Bougan, Adam Anderson and Ashley Bratcher (Daniel); nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vivian Kittiko, Maxine Bozzi and Marsha Tennant; as well as a host of friends, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Bro. Gary French officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Southside Baptist Church.
