County seeking options after bid exceeds grant funds for trail plan

The development of a “master mobility plan” for future pedestrian and bicycle trails in Taylor County is in danger of not being funded after the Taylor County Commission received just one response to its solicitation for consulting firms to bid on the project.

Unfortunately, the $58,104 bid from CHW Professional Consultants in Alachua was more than $22,000 over the $36,000 grant the county received to pay for the project.
