Louise L. Flott

Louise L. Flott, 83, died Dec. 15, 2018, in Tallahassee.Louise was born May 16, 1935, in Perry to Harrison Connell and Flora Morgan Connell.

Louise was born to be a caretaker. She loved working with the patients at the nursing home, and later in life she was a caretaker for her husband, second husband and her son. She is remembered as a very loving mother,grandmother and great-grandmother. She was even regarded as a mother to her younger siblings.

Louise was preceded in death by: her parents, Harrison and Flora Connell; her husband, Earl Shiver; her second husband, Gus Flott; her son,Walter Harrison “Peewee” Shiver; two brothers, Lonnie and Chester Connell; and three sisters, L.E. O’steen, Ellmarie Mosley and Florene Courson.

She is survived by: her children, Edward Shiver (Nora), Cecelia Strevel (Tony) and Jerry Shiver; a host of grand and great-grandchildren;her brothers, Leroy and Dairl Connell; and sisters, Edna Tillis and Liller Newberry.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church with Bro. Tim McDonald and Bro. Billy Gipson officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Carlton Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec.  18, at Westside Baptist Church.
