In what the National Weather Service is calling “a multi-hazard event,” Taylor County residents were being warned of a coastal flood advisory and warning Thursday through Friday, Dec. 20-21
“With coastal flood advisories and warnings in place, especially in the warning area of Taylor and Dixie counties, there is the potential for water levels to rise 2-4 feet above normally dry ground, centered around the time of high tide (midnight) Thursday night,” stated Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Emergency Management Deputy Director Kristy Anderson.
