In a surprise legal development Friday morning, Manden Whiddon threw himself at the mercy of the court during sentencing, after admitting he violated the terms of his plea agreement with the State Attorney’s Office by giving untruthful testimony concerning the 2015 murder of Shelly Strickland.
Under a new agreement reached with the state, in return for his admission of guilt, prosecutors will not re-file perjury charges against him.
