Strickland’s family confronts Whiddon

“We – me and Garrett and my dad – went to her house with intentions of stealing items and she came home and Garrett shot her once and then my dad finished her…shot her two more times.”

Much has been said and written in the nearly three and one-half years since Shelly Strickland was found shot to death at her home on O’Steen Road. Yet few statements have carried the power of this condensed version of events given by one of the three men (Manden Whiddon, his father, Rodney Whiddon, and Strickland’s nephew, Garrett Arrowood) who were allegedly involved in the crime.
