The City of Perry’s continued investment in its fire department – such as adding needed personnel to meet national standards – has paid off with a lower ISO (Insurance Services Office) rating that will translate into savings for local homeowners and businesses when it’s time to renew their homeowners’ or business building insurance.
“The ISO survey is a report card on the performance of the fire department. The lower the rating the fire department achieves, it means cheaper rates for homeowners’ insurance for everybody in town,” City Manager Taylor Brown said, announcing that the City of Perry Fire Department’s rating had dropped from a Class 6 to a Class 4.
