Saturday morning began early and cold. The sky was still dark as the crowd began to gather under the street lights at First Baptist of Perry.
Some of the faces were familiar, others new, and all were lit with anticipation of what we were about to accomplish. We were bound together by a common purpose, and it gave us a sense of camaraderie and strength for the day ahead.
PHOTO: Clean-up efforts continue in neighboring communities hit hard by Hurricane Michael. Local volunteers manned chainsaw crews that traveled to Blountstown this past weekend to assist with fallen trees and debris removal.
