The long-anticipated canopy/balcony project for downtown – which has been in the works for nearly a decade – has been officially shelved by the Perry City Council.
Members took the action Tuesday based on a recommendation from City Manager Taylor Brown, who told members “giving our current fiscal and infrastructure situation, we need to get our house in order before we start a project like this.”
