After discussing the possibility numerous times over the past several years, the Taylor County Commission has officially put the former Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH) building up for sale.
The commission recently voted 4-0 to approve the bid solicitation package – with a $50,000 minimum bid – which county staff says will cover the expenses of advertising the property and the future removal of a communication tower from the site. The sale will be conducted through sealed bids, and all bids are due by April 12. (Please see legal in today’s classifieds.)
