    City to begin charter review

    The Perry City Council will conduct an in-house review of the city charter and look at moving forward with any updates or changes needed.

    At Tuesday’s regular city meeting, City Manager Taylor Brown noted that “a city charter is the most basic legal document that establishes a city as a legal entity and outlines its organizational structure. As cities grow, their charters need to be periodically reviewed to ensure that the city’s organizational structure is still optimal for its every-changing needs.”
