“He was from Live Oak, and like many of the guys born and raised there, he would hit his own mom if she was carrying a football,” joked John Crowe as he described Florida State University (FSU) football teammate Dale McCullers, who co-authored the recently-released book, “FSU’s Sons of the Sixties: A Case For the Defense.”
Crowe, a former Taylor County resident and Buckeye CEO, returned to town last week as the Perry Kiwanis Club’s guest speaker, visiting friends and fellow business leaders he got to know during two stints at the local Foley Cellulose Mill.
