City Council still opposed to medical marijuana dispensaries

Perry City Council members reaffirmed their opposition to having medical marijuana dispensaries located within the city limits Tuesday, after City Manager Taylor Brown informed them he has received a number of inquiries regarding the burgeoning industry.

“I thought this would be a good time to review the ordinance adopted by the council in 2017 concerning this issue, confirm that it reflects the current desired policy of the city council and verify that it meets with the current state laws regarding this newly-legalized industry,” Brown said.
