    Property owners to get relief from setback requirements?

    When the county adopted a comprehensive plan back in 1990, it created various land-use categories, each with its own building setback requirements as part of the Land Development Code (LDC).

    As a result, county officials say a number of properties — which predated the adoption of the comprehensive plan — ended up in land-use categories that make it impossible to construct a residence due to setback requirements.
