Describing the recent legislative session as “very frustrating,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr. is calling on all teachers, non-instructional staff, school board members and superintendents in the state to join together to lobby the state legislature for public education funding.
Glover gave a gloomy legislative update to school board members as a non-agenda item of interest near the end of their May 7 workshop meeting, stating that the amount of funding the local school district receives from the state would likely be reduced in the coming year.
