More than half of those present during the Dec. 9, 2018, early-morning shooting of Shawnie Easlick testified in Kayla Pittman’s self-defense motion hearing on Thursday, with eyewitness accounts differing significantly depending on who took the stand.
One witness, wearing a stained and untucked shirt, who appeared to be unsteady on his feet and stumbled through incomplete responses, eventually had his testimony cut short after claiming he could not remember — aside from being “passed out” in his van — when asked about certain events from that fateful night.
