Less than three months after delaying a decision on a series of proposed changes to spotted seatrout regulations, which many charter captains and tourism officials said would hurt the Big Bend economy, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is now seeking public input on a new list of “potential changes” that include many of the same proposals, but also feature additional restrictions.
In addition to reducing the local bag limit from five fish to four for Taylor C o u n t y , the proposals would also reduce the slot limit, as well as prevent anglers from keeping any fish over the size limit and charter captains from keeping a bag limit.
