Fire hydrant flushing will take place August through October

The City of Perry Water Division, in conjunction with the City Fire Department, will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the city and county during the months of August, September and October.

Flushing of hydrants will begin Tuesday, Aug. 20 and continue each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m.

It would be advisable not to do laundry on these days.

You may experience slight pressure fluctuation and discoloration of the water.

These inconveniences are temporary and should clear up within
24 hours.
