Commission debates Steinhatchee road closures

The Taylor County Commission is expected to consider a request from a developer to abandon four sections of roadway in Steinhatchee next week after initially delaying a decision back in August.

County commissioners held a public hearing on developer Joe Anderson III’s request at their Aug. 20 meeting, but could not reach a consensus and ultimately decided to resume discussions at their Sept. 24 workshop prior to re-opening the public hearing at their upcoming Monday, Oct. 7 regular meeting.
