Fiber optic line installed here

Construction crews that began work in Tallahassee reached Salem this week, installing fiber optic lines that will ultimately stretch to Tampa.

Uniti Fiber, a real estate investment trust focused on the acquisition and construction of communications infrastructure such as fiber, wireless towers and ground leases, is behind the project. While the lines are being installed for one primary customer, commercial businesses along the route will have the opportunity to tap into the system.
