Daniel G. Whitehead, 66, of Knoxville, Tenn., crossed over to heaven on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, after a long illness.
Daniel was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church.
He was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Daniel was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a mechanic and builder.
He loved to maintain a garden.
Daniel enjoyed his grandchildren and was so proud to be their Papaw.
Daniel loved to watch football, supporting his Florida State Seminoles and Miami Dolphins.
He is survived by: a devoted wife of 25 years, Susan Whitehead; daughter, Jessica Whitehead; son, Thomas (Tiffany)Whitehead; other family, Brian (Jessica) Witt and Terri (Nathan) Hodges; brothers, Billy and Joe Whitehead (Florida); sister, Jone Pridgeon (Florida); and beloved grandchildren, Jayden, Isabella, Aden, Skye Whitehead, Samantha and Mary Witt, Lillian and Tucker Hodges.
The family will receive friends at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home in Knoxville, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Don Wilson officiating.
Immediately following the funeral service, family and friends will go in procession for a graveside service at Berry Lynnhurst Cemetery.
