Noel Dean Norris

Mr. Noel Dean Norris, 66, passed away on October 4, 2019, at his home in Perry. Noel was born September 23, 1953, in Lavonia, Ga., to Rev. Hubert Swain Norris Sr. and Frances Storrs Norris.

Noel was the manager of the automotive service center of Kmart and the owner of Noel’s Garage of Perry for many years.  He was a very gifted artist and also enjoyed astronomy. He had a great sense of humor and loved his Harley Davidson.    

Noel was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Hubert S. Sr. and Frances Norris, two brothers, Hubert Swain Norris Jr., his wife Oneta and his brother Van S. Norris.

He is survived by two brothers, Dr. Dwight R. Norris, PhD. and his wife Sylvia and Mark Norris and his wife Debra, a sister-in-law Melinda Norris, his longtime partner Pam Archer and her daughter Katie, his stepson Billy Merlo and his wife Latrelle, grandson John Michael Merlo, nephew Hubert Swain Norris III, and his wife Sharon, nieces Dawn Lagle and her husband Kenny, Deidra Wright and her husband Kyle, Karen McCauley and her husband Tom, Carmen Jordan and her husband Matt as well as a host of grand nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for a later date. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
