Homegrown tourists

When the Perry Elks Lodge decided to revive the “Mr. and Mrs. Tourist” tradition for the Florida Forest Festival, little did they know they would find themselves with a couple of “homegrown” tourists!

Dawson and Bernadine Stanaland, who are both from Perry, but have been living away from home for 30 years, were selected by Lodge members Wednesday to serve as this year’s “tourist” honorees. The Stanalands are shown with Exalted Ruler Clayton Huff.
