FAMU head coach keynote speaker at service

Local residents are invited to celebrate the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the annual commemorative program planned Sunday, Jan. 19, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, starting at 6 p.m.

Perry native Ryan Smith, who is the linebackers coach for Florida A&M University (FAMU), will introduce FAMU Football Head Coach Willie Simmons, who will be the keynote speaker.

The Mt. Olive Baptist Church Choir will provide the music ministry, and this year’s Community Service Award recipients will include active and retired military personnel.
