Registered Republicans outnumber Democrats for first time in local history

For the first time in recorded history, Taylor County has more registered Republicans than Democrats.

According to figures from Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland’s office, as of Wednesday, Feb. 12, there were 5,441 registered Republicans compared to 5,389 registered Democrats.
