    February is National CTE Month

    The Taylor County School Board recognized February as National CTE (Career and Technical Education) Month at its meeting Tuesday.

    Big Bend Technical College (BBTC) Director shared that “CTE is growing in Taylor County schools. Currently, there are eight CTE courses offered at the middle school and four CTE courses at the high school along with 13 CTE courses at BBTC.” She also noted, “CTE courses train students for high-skill, high-wage careers. Students in CTE can earn academic credit, industry certifications and articulated credit through their coursework.”
