Dean to school board: ‘Support our local administrators’

A local school administrator is urging school board members to join her in doing their part to encourage and uplift school employees, district leaders, each other and the school superintendent.

Taylor County Elementary School Dean of Students Rachel Poppell shared that message during last week’s regular meeting of the school board, stating, “I am a product of the Taylor County School District, having experienced it as a student, an educator, a coach, a parent and now as the dean of a school. Educators are anyone working in this district, regardless of their position or title. It takes all of us…from the school board members to the individuals at the district office and every site-based employee…to ensure our schools are successful.”
