Short Story Contest winners announced

The Friends of the Taylor County Public Library has announced the winners of its 14th annual Short Story Contest:

• Youth Category: first place, “Titanic: Disaster Awaits!” by Jack Johnson; second place, “A Bunny in Shining Armor” by Avery Finley; and honorable mention, “A Cat’s Adventure” by Lawson Burford.

• Student Category: first place: “Justice?” by Anna Drawdy; second place: “From Seven to Nine” by Nora Babbit; and honorable mention, “The Mission to Titan” by Landon Burford.

• Adult Category: first place, “The Hog Hunters” by Billy K. Hillhouse; second place, “Water Rescue” by Shasta Philhour; and honorable mention, “The Battle” by Douglas Wallace.
