The Florida High School Activities Association (FHSAA) held its second Fall Sports Task Force Meeting via Zoom last Wednesday morning (July 1) to consider the idea of pushing back the start of practices for high school athletics to no earlier than Monday, August 10.
In an 8-7 vote, the task force approved a proposal recommended by Blountstown Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Beau Johnson to allow schools to compete in different regions based on when they start
practicing.
