The City of Perry recently settled a lawsuit against former residents who were facing possible foreclosure on their home and property here after a city code enforcement lien gradually grew to more than $30,000.
After hearing a summary of the case from City Attorney Ray Curtis, the city council recently voted 4-0 in favor of accepting a settlement agreement, which included the landowners paying approximately $1,000 in attorney fees and other costs.
