Three protestors saddled up on horseback and rode around the Taylor County Courthouse Friday, July 17, joined by a dozen or so others voicing their opposition to the City of Perry’s mask mandate, which went into effect Monday, July 20.
“This is not about the mask. It is about the mandate. It is about our freedom to choose. It shows that the city doesn’t have any faith in our ability to make that choice. They need to have trust in the people. This is Perry. This is not New York. We are not all crammed together,” organizer Cheryl Masey said.
