Perry Police Department (PPD) officers conducted the court-ordered destruction of several large bins of evidence, documents and illegal narcotics on Wednesday at the local police station.
Using a 55-gallon stainless steel incinerator powered by a blower fan that helps raise the internal temperature to well over 500 degrees, PPD investigators disposed of the confiscated materials by slowly feeding the flames with the contents of sealed envelopes, including paperwork, dangerous drugs and other evidence accumulated over several years worth of investigations.
