Congressman Dunn to attend ‘Back the Blue’ rally on Sept. 5

Congressman Dr. Neal Dunn will join the Taylor County Republicans at a “Back-the-Blue” rally this Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to honor local law enforcement officers and first responders.

The event, sponsored by Taylor County Republicans, will be held at the old Wendy’s restaurant on Byron Butler Parkway. Regional Engagement Coordinator Bea Thomas is also scheduled to attend.

“Join us in supporting our law enforcement officers, who protect and defend the people Taylor County,” said local Republican Jeannine Ramey. “We will be serving hotdogs and chips to all who stop by to say thanks.”

There will be a drawing for a $100 gift certificate from Perry Pawn Brokers that is open to all local law enforcement officers.

Additional drawings for officers will be held with prizes being donated by Backdoor Bistro, The Fair Store, Ragans Ace Hardware, Johnson’s Bakery, Debbie’s Jewels & Gift Boutique, Studstill’s, Holton Still, Conner Signs and Save-a-Lot.
