Sheriff: ‘Buck stops with me’

Taylor County Sheriff Wayne Padgett has stated he takes “full responsibility” for releasing a top school administrator following a shooting incident stemming from a domestic dispute Sunday night.

“Sheriff Padgett states he takes full responsibility for Ms. Lytle’s release without charges on Sunday night,” TCSO Public Information Officer Capt. Gina Deeson said in a written statement Thursday.
