Rough road ahead

What was supposed to be a relatively straight-forward four-month project to replace and widen Foley Cut Off Road has stretched into a nearly seven-month catastrophe for residents living in the area who have been battling cut utility lines, bone-jarring potholes and the general disruptions that come with such a large undertaking.

The project has seen numerous weather and holiday extensions granted, as well as additional issues concerning contractor/utility company coordination.
