Crowell ‘101 years young’

Up until just a few years ago, Nancy Monroe Crowell kept busy by visiting friends who live at the local nursing home and enjoying fellowship at the Taylor County Senior Citizens Center.

But finally, her advanced age caught up with her and, in her late 90s, she was forced to stop driving.

Today Crowell, who will celebrate her 101st birthday this Saturday, Oct. 3, fills her days watching television and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
