RR crossing lane closures

Local drivers should expect lane closures and flagging operations in Perry and Greenville over the next two weeks, as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing rail crossing safety measures on several state roadways.

As part of a Statewide Traffic and Railroad Initiative Using Dynamic Envelopes initiative – officially known as “Operation STRIDE” — with the goal of eliminating crashes at state road rail crossings, the FDOT work includes installation of Rail Dynamic Envelopes (conspicuous pavement markings), enhanced signage and rail safety education.
